Voor de juiste maat voor jouw nieuwe (kick)bokshandschoenen hebben wij een maattabel samengesteld. Je kiest het gewicht van de handschoenen (2 oz t/m 20 oz) op basis van jouw lichaamsgewicht en mate van expertise. Train je al wat langer en zit je hoog in de gewichtsklasse in de onderstaande tabel? Kies dan voor de zwaarste handschoenen in de tabel met het vinkje (✓). Begin je net of heb je wat kleinere handen en zit je onderin de gewichtsklasse van de tabel, kies dan de lichtste (kick)bokshandschoenen uit de tabel met het vinkje. Het standaard maatadvies zit in het midden (middelste van de 3 vinkjes).
De standaard maat voor volwassen heren is 14 oz en voor dames is dit 12 oz.
Voor kinderen onder de 25 kg kan je de volgende richtlijnen gebruiken :
2 oz – sparringhanschoenen voor kinderen tot 4 jaar
4 oz – sparringhandschoenen voor kinderen tot 4 – 6 jaar
6 oz – sparringhandschoenen voor kinderen tot 6 – 8 jaar
Tijdens de wedstrijden krijgt je lichtere bokshandschoenen (8 oz of 10 oz afhankelijk van de gewichtsklasse), als je dan gewent bent zwaar te trainen met 16 of 18 oz bokshandschoenen dan heb je tijdens de wedstrijden het gevoel dat je bokshandschoenen lekker licht zijn.
